I absolutely love reading other people’s morning routines so I thought that I would write one myself. Now that I have finished sixth form my mornings are much more relaxed and slow-paced. This is my typical morning so I really take my time but obviously on days that I have plans I will do these steps much more quickly. I found that this routine works for me but can vary from day to day!
I usually wake up naturally, without an alarm, due to the sunlight shining through my curtains and the noise of my parents getting up and ready for work. I usually lay in bed for a while until I properly wake up and will then go on my phone to check my social medias, emails, etc.
Next, I get up, make my bed and get into the shower, sometimes I go for a run (but this is very rare haha). When I’m in the shower I wash my face, body and on some mornings my hair, then moisturise my body afterwards. A review of the hair products in the picture above is coming soon!
Then I put on my clothes, dry and straighten my hair and put on a little bit of make up. This usually just includes concealer, powder, eyebrows and mascara to make myself look slightly more presentable!
At this time I head downstairs and grab some breakfast. I am currently on an Atkins diet so I am trying to cut out carbs and mainly eat protein, vegetables and fruit. So for breakfast I just have some fruit and a glass of water. I usually eat this in my room while watching TV or a movie. I then brush my teeth and carryout any chores I may have such as clothes washing or dishes left over from last night.
I tend to make myself a cup of tea at this time, continue watching the TV or a movie, grab my laptop. I then get started on updating my blog, drafting blog posts or going on Twitter to catch on my favourite blogs, etc.
