What I’m Watching On Netflix | Autumn 2018

Since I finished sixth form, I have a lot of spare time on my hands and what better to do with that time than watch a hell of a lot of Netflix! I LOVE hearing about what other people are watching or loving on Netflix so I thought I would share my favourites. I have a terrible habit of watching the same programmes over and over again so recently I have been trying to branch out to new TV shows!

I started watching season 1 of Riverdale later than most people so I was able to binge watch it all in one go! I was immediately invested into the show and story line so watched the whole series in less than a week! Each episode seems to end on a cliffhanger which just keeps bringing you back! The series is about a group of friends in a small town called Riverdale but the death of a popular student called Jason Blossom turns the town upside down! Archie and his friends explore the struggles of everyday life whilst taking on the haunting case of Jason Blossom’s death. In order to solve this mystery, the group of friends must work together to uncover the dark secrets of their town and they come to realise it isn’t as innocent as it seems! I have now watched season 2 and am currently watching season 3 every week when the episode airs! The story line has taken an interesting turn recently but I am still LOVING it! The cast is amazing and if your into teen/ mystery programmes (like pretty little liars) this is definitely the show for you!!

Black Mirror

This is one of the most interesting TV shows I have ever watched! Every episode is a new story about the possible effects of technology in the future. Every episode is eye-opening, disturbing and pretty realistic as many of the story lines you believe could really happen in the future! I also love how it makes you question technology and what will happen over time. The programme also tackles modern day issues such as social media and politics which I think is super important! So if your a fan of sci-fi, horror or futuristic TV shows this is for you!

The Mist

I absolutely love horror movies and scary TV shows so when I saw the trailer for The Mist, I knew I needed to watch it! I have already seen the movie version of the Mist so I was excited to see a different adaptation! I loved the supernatural twist of this series as well as the insight into the characters and their backstories. This show is thrilling, exciting and leaves you wanting more! One of the interesting things about this series is the idea that perhaps humanity is just as terrible as what might be lurking in the mist. At times the series is a bit slow but overall I did really enjoy it!

Prison Break

This is perhaps my favourite show EVER!! I have watched this the whole way through about 5 times and I just love it. It follows the story of Lincoln Burrows, an innocent man is framed for the murder of the Vice President’s brother and scheduled to be executed. But his younger brother, Michael Scofield, an almost genius realises that he is actually innocent and gets himself arrested so that he can break his brother out. There are so many interesting characters, twists and turns that will you have hooked almost instantly! This programme is a 10/10 for me so if you haven’t seen it, your really missing out!!

Brooklyn 99

I started watching this a few weeks ago and I am almost finished! It is such an easy to watch programme and each episode is only 20 minutes so it’s perfect just to stick on when you have some time to kill. It is all about the detectives at the 99th precinct in Brooklyn, the cases they take on and their day to day lives. It is one of the funniest shows I’ve ever watched and there are loads of amazing characters that you just grow to love! There is also loads of episodes on Netflix so that should keep you going for a while!

While I was writing this post I realised I have so many more programmes I want to talk about so I might have to make a second post like this! Let me know if you would like to see that!

What are you watching at the moment?

Thanks for reading!

Black Mirror and Brooklyn 99 are some of my all-time favorites! The latest Black Mirror episodes blew my mind. I absolutely loved Hang the DJ if you’ve made it that far yet. My boyfriend reminds me of Andy Samburg so that might play into my obsession lol because of Captain Holt my boyfriend now likes to call our dog a “basic bitch” because technically thats what she is haha.

    Cheers xx
