Hey everyone and welcome back to Blogmas!
Christmas is the perfect excuse to mix up your makeup routine! I definitely reach for different products at this time of year, so today I thought I would share some of my makeup favourites for the festive season!
Gold/ browny eyes
When I think of festive makeup looks, gold immediately comes to mind. One of my favourite palettes for these kinds of shades is my Makeup Revolution chocolate bar palette as well as the Morphe 35T. We have a gold theme on our tree at home so I like to channel those vibes into my makeup. I’m not very daring when it comes to eye shadow so a nice matte brown base suits me perfectly. I then take a light gold in the centre as well as a darker goldy shade in the outer corner for a quick and easy eye makeup look!
Darker/ Berry lips
Lip colour trends vastly change throughout the year and winter/ Christmas is no exception. I always love the look of red lips but I just can’t pull it off, it makes my teeth look weird and I don’t know why? (Anyone else!?). So I go for the next best option which is berry shades! I am yet to find a perfect berry lipstick but I do have 2 glosses and a lip cream that I love a lot. They are Rimmel lipgloss in the colour ‘snog’, NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in ‘San Paulo’ and NYX Lingerie gloss in ‘Exotic’. They are all super pretty shades that last on my lips for a long time too!
In winter my stunning gold highlighters are packed away as I reach for more silvery, frosty shades. But there tends to be one that I choose over anything else and that is the I Heart Revolution Blushing Hearts highlighter in the shade ‘Iced Hearts’. I forgot to take a picture of this product which is pretty annoying but hey nobody’s perfect. This highlighter is affordable, shimmery and lasts for ages! It beams off my cheeks, catches the light beautifully and is hands down one of my top 5 makeup products ever!
Christmas = glitter, no argument there. Perhaps my favourite new product is the Collection Glam Crystals Dazzling Gel Liner in the shade 1 ‘Glitz’. It is an iridescent silver glitter that can be applied easily. I tend to use this all over the lid almost like a liquid eyeshadow as I’m terrible at eyeliner, however it fits this purpose to a T. I think this is perfect for Christmas parties or night outs, for that extra bit of sparkle. The final product is the Revolution Glitter Bomb in the colour ‘Out Out’ which is this stunning gold glitter but I am yet to find a good glue for it, so if you have any suggestions, please let me know!
