Hiya everyone and welcome back to my blog!
Well it’s the last day of 2018 and honestly, I can’t quite believe it! I feel like this year has flown over, there’s been highs and lows but it has finally come to an end. I’ve had a difficult year but I’ve also accomplished things that I never thought I would! So today I thought it would be nice to have a little round up of 2018 and set some goals for the year to come.
Summary of 2018
This year started off with me going into my second term of year 13 at Sixth Form, I had my 18th birthday in April, finally sat my A level exams throughout May and June, then finished sixth form for good! It was after I left sixth form that I restarted my blog in the summer (which was the best decision ever!) I then pretty much just chilled and blogged for about a month before heading off to Zante for 2 weeks with my family. A week after I got home, I collected my A level results, of which I achieved BBD in geography, philosophy and biology. This meant that I got into my firm choice university to do an adult nursing course starting in January 2019 (so soon now!). I then worked full-time at McDonald’s for 5 months, which I just quit a couple of weeks ago! I might do a post on my experiences of working there?! Then Christmas came and I had the best few days which brings me up to now, the final day of the year!
Goals for 2019
1. Blog – Since I restarted my blog this year, I have been a pretty inconsistent with posts, so this year I would like to really up my game and hopefully post twice a week, every week! After successfully completing Blogmas and taking a little break, I feel pumped and ready to post much more often. I am also planning to focus more on using Pinterest as well as improving and promoting my Instagram next year!
2. University – I am moving away from home and starting university on the 21st of January and I couldn’t be more excited! At the same time though I am pretty nervous but I’m hoping to stay on top of my work this year as when I was in sixth form I wasn’t very good at doing this. I thought this would also be an exciting new opportunity for my blog as I think I am going to start some new series’ about university and being a student nurse, which I can’t wait to write!
3. Health and Fitness – This year I lost about a stone and a half because I was very unhappy with my body and I just wanted to get more fit! I gave myself a break from this at Christmas but I’m really looking forward to getting back to a more healthy diet and regular exercising routine. So my goal is to keep up with a healthy lifestyle but also allow myself time off when I want it!
4. Me – This year I want to have a more positive mindset. To do this I am going to set more time aside for myself just to relax and unwind! I also want to take every opportunity that comes to me and make the most of my first year at university!
