A Little Catch Up and Q&A

Hiya everyone and welcome to my blog!

It’s been a little while since I last posted but life has just been a little crazy! I’ve now started all 5 modules that I study as a first year student nurse so I feel like I’m finally in full swing. I’ve got an exam coming up at the end of the month and assignment deadlines are being set over the next few months so the pressure is gradually building up! Not only that, but I head out in placement in June! But today I’ve decided to put all of that aside and spend a little time on my blog, which has been feeling pretty neglected recently. My plan is to start posting more regularly again so I thought I’d kick it off with a good old Q&A!

1. Why did you start blogging?

I started my first blog all the way back in 2014! Originally, one of my friends at school started a blog and I thought it was amazing so I decided to start my own. I created it on Blogger and posted regularly until about 2016. But by this point I had started my A levels and was working part-time as well, so I just didn’t have to time and gave up for a while. Then in the Summer of 2018 I finished my A levels and got into to uni to start in January 2019, so I decided to start a new blog on WordPress and even went self-hosted! I absolutely love blogging, It’s kind of an escape from my busy life and a place I can do whatever I want. Whilst I am incredibly busy with uni at the moment, my blog will always have a special place in my heart.

2. What is your favourite food?

This one is so tough because I just love food (that’s a mood). But I guess I’ll have to go with cake, there’s so many different types and flavours and I have a huge sweet tooth!

3. Who is your biggest inspiration?

I interpreted this question two ways – real life and blogging. In real life, as cheesy as it sounds, my Mam is my inspiration. She’s so hard-working, kind and always put others before herself! If I turn out to be half of the woman she is, I will be very happy! In the blogging world it would probably have to be Ruthinrevolt or ZaraLouu as they are both beams of positivity, have amazing blogs and are so supportive!

4. What is your favourite time of day?

This is such an interesting question, I do love mornings but only when I have nothing to do and I can just chill, have breakfast and watch Netflix. But I’m also a bit of a night owl and like to stay up late, so I guess it just depends what mood I’m in!

5. What do you study at university?

I am currently studying Adult nursing and I am loving it! I started in January 2019 so I’ve only been here for about 6 weeks but I am really enjoying meeting new people, living away and studying something I am passionate about!

6. Which makeup step do you think transform your look the most?

For me, I think this definitely has to be eyeshadow. I tend to do the same base all of the time so I change up my look with eyeshadow or none at all depending on what I’m doing or where I’m going. Also mascara is a big one, my eyes don’t like right without it!

7. Favourite skincare product?

I swear by the Neutrogena Visibly Clear Pink Grapefruit facial wash. I have used this for nearly 2 years now and for someone who suffers with spots and acne, this has been a holy grail for me! It’s also super affordable and smells amazing!!

8. What TV series are you loving at the moment?

I’m currently watching The Vampire Diaries, The Walking Dead and Shadowhunters! I am loving them all and they are pretty much some of my favourite TV programmes ever!

(Pin me!!)

Thanks so much for reading and I hope you have a fab week!
